Casserole:
- 1 loaf French bread, cubed (about 10–12 cups)
- 6 eggs, whisked
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crumb Topping
- Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and walnuts in a bowl until crumbly. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Bread Mixture
- Cut French bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread, toss gently, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
